Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) is hosting a walk through/cleanup event of the Massapequa Preserve on Saturday, April 17 at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
MTAC and its partners including the New York National Guard Counterdrug Task Force and the Nassau County Police Department have been walking through the Massapequa Preserve conducting environmental scans of the area. As a result, the National Guard has found drug paraphernalia located in specific areas of the Preserve known as “hot spots”. MTAC along with its partners will be hosting an event on Saturday, April 17th where we will be walking through these “hot spots” areas to clean up litter and drug paraphernalia. MTAC invites residents to attend the cleanup event to “Keep the Preserve Pristine” and work together to ensure the Massapequa Preserve continues to be a safe environment for community residents and their families.
