Plainedge Public Schools Drug Take Back Day

School, Community Coalitions and Treatment Agency Encourage Proper Disposal of Rx Drugs

Plainedge Public Schools, Plainedge Public Schools Health, Wellness, & Drug-Free Youth Coalition, YES Community Counseling Center and Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) hosted its first Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, March 9th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Plainedge High School, 241 Wyngate Drive, North Massapequa, N.Y. Volunteers collected 137.5 lbs of pharmaceuticals and 71.8 lbs or syringes and needles.

Residents and parents all came out to help prevent prescription drug misuse. If you missed the event, please remember residents can always drop off unused or expired meds (no liquids or ointments) any time/day at Nassau County Police Department 7th Precinct, 3636 Merrick Road, Seaford, NY 11783 or ANY Nassau County Police Precinct.
